As the ceremony proceeded, teams danced together in a celebration of their hard earned places as well as a beautiful gathering of humanity. The uniforms girded by each team displayed the vast diversity as star and striped teams were preceded or followed by Bermuda shorts or maple leaves. While some portions of history were skirted over, other portions of Russia's experience over the centuries was celebrated.
It was colorful; it was vivid; it was joyful!
Every time I see these ceremonies it reminds me that, someday and somehow, the faith that has laid hold of me says people from every tongue and tribe will dance and sing together in a new heaven and new earth. We'll celebrate God's accomplishments and he'll celebrate our companionship.
We’ll sing a song salvation to God.
We won't really enter a constructed arena nor a temple, we'll enter the very presence of God. He'll be our temple, our arena. It'll be bright, warm, vivid, and oh. so. joyful!
Can't wait for that opening ceremony.
